We’re sorry Americans are not better about wearing masks and taking precautions cry. ISC knows this causes a lot of stress and anxiety on international students, most of whom come from communal cultures where taking precautions to help everyone is normal.  Please know that ISC, like ASU, is committed to doing all we can to make sure you are kept safe.

Life, liberty and the pursuit of justice are the last four words of the Pledge of Allegiance, an expression of loyalty to the country and flag of the United States of America. Our prayer is that more Americans will take this pledge to heart and realize it’s not just for them… it’s for everyone. ISC believes that life is sacred, given to us be a loving God who desires for us to enjoy life to the fullest. Liberty is the state of being free within society from oppressive restrictions imposed by authority on one’s way of life, behavior, or political views. … thus liberty entails the responsible use of freedom under the rule of law without depriving anyone else of their freedom. That’s why justice is important. It makes sure that laws are both rational and proportional. It provides some predictability for things that are beyond our control (like a pandemic), so that we can plan our lives and live life to the fullest (i.e. Thrive).

The Bible teaches us that we should consider others before ourselves. ISC agrees with this, we also would say “Wearing is caring” or “Forks up, masks up ASU!”
